:: what do you read, my lord ::

words, words, words! it's been about three years since I've posted one to make you sound more pretentiously literate; and so I said, "the time is ripe / to send one shooting [down] the pipe!"

read.
memorize.
use obnoxiously.

diapason: full, swelling, harmonious sound.
(or to do with pipe organs and pitch. but who needs that clinical of a definition.)
      n., from greek through latin: dia pason (khordon) - 'through all (the notes)', the whole octave

pronounced: (die-uh-pay-sun)

"And yet this great wink of eternity,
Of rimless floods, unfettered leewardings,
Samite sheeted and processioned where
Her undinal vast belly moonward bends,
Laughing the wrapt inflections of our love;

Take this Sea, whose diapason knells
On scrolls of silver snowy sentences,
The sceptered terror of whose sessions rends
As her demeanors motion well or ill,
All but the pieties of lovers' hands."
